The Central Association for the Blind/Visually Impaired

Since 1929, CABVI has assisted people who are blind or visually impaired to live their lives fully and independently. The vision rehabilitation services that make this possible are some of the most comprehensive available to people who have visual impairments in the broad swath of upstate, central New York region that we serve.

In over 70 years, we have expanded our services, furthered our reach, and created an industry - of which seventy-five percent of its skilled employees are blind and visually impaired - that is a leader in its field.

Our Vehicles for Vision program is the car donation program by which others may be measured. Learn how to make your old vehicle into renewed independence for people who are blind or visually impaired - and you could earn yourself a tax deduction.

Our services to the region include tours, public education, presentations to senior citizen groups; schools; colleges; scout groups; civic, religious, and health-related organizations; and more. CABVI brings live, interactive public education to your upstate, central New York community, group, or organization. Click here to learn what CABVI can do for your group or organization.
